The Adonis Brothers
The original Adonis Brothers was a short-lived noise jam band in 1982 that hijacked a friend's practice studio in Lancaster, PA. We were always getting yelled at for leaving piles of empty beer cans behind and damaging the equipment. Pretty crappy stuff -- the only claim to fame this group ever had was that Tim Finefrock (later of Raging Slab) and Mark Ibold (later of Pavement & touring bass player for Sonic Youth) were members. Other participants included myself, Joe Kocevar & Frank Palumbo. These "songs" never had titles, so I made these up for the purpose of the web page.  Click on song titles below to listen:
The second manifestation of The Adonis Brothers was mostly Tim Finefrock and me making sporadic electro/guitar/dance/industrial recordings in Tim's NYC studio from roughly 1988 to 1990. Ibold and another guy did some background vocals on "Rodeo." Here are a few songs:
The third manifestation of The Adonis Brothers was rap music involving me & Joshua Roberts (formerly of Odessa Steps Sequence). This project had nothing to do with the earlier versions of The Adonis Brothers -- we just stole the name:
